Library

The reference library at the foundations headquarters in Celle contains literature, standard works on Nazi history, archive guides and other aids and finding aids, in particular publications on Nazi history and its consequences in north-west Germany. Around 6,000 monographs are currently catalogued, as well as periodicals and audiovisual media (video, DVD). One focus of the collection is on so-called grey literature, i.e. books and publications that are not sold in bookshops.

About the library

The library of the Lower Saxony Memorials Foundation in Celle focuses on the topic of "Resistance and Persecution 1933-1945 in the State of Lower Saxony".

The collection can be searched online via the catalogue of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Gedenkstättenbibliotheken (AGGB).
